An easy way to relate the quadratic formula and basketball?

I have to make a video teaching my peers how to use the quadratic formula. I really want to make the video relating to basketball, but I'm not sure how to do that without getting them confused. Is there an easy way to apply basketball to using the quadratic formula?|||If you throw a basketball straight up in the air, it's position, p(t), will be

p(t) = -16t^2 + vt + h

in which t is time, v is the ball's initial velocity, and h is the ball's initial height. The -16 is acceleration in feet/second^2 due to gravity.
