I am looking for something to do with my old basketball cards, I have a lot of them. Hope fully it is something profitable, and I have tried Ebay, that's much too expensive to start with, and time-consuming for a person as busy as I am. Anything else that I can maximize the good done with them(as opposed to throwing them out) and perhaps make some money as well?|||I would suggest finding a good light-proof, airtight container (old cake-tin or something) sticking them all in it with a pouch of silica gel (little package of beads you sometimes find in boxes with electronic items) to keep moisture out and simply archive them where they wont be lost or completely forgotten. They may be worth nothing now, but perhaps by the time your children or grandchildren are ready to go to college they may pay for it.
Remember, it only takes ONE card to become really collectable to make it worth-while. When it comes time to sell, be sure to do a little research and get MULTIPLE valuations, you dont want a collector to give you $100 for the lot when it contains twenty cards worth $5,000 each.|||it depends on if you have a complete year set or any rare ones, but i say eBay|||Try selling them anywhere but Ebay.|||Sell them at a flea market or a store or give them away.|||Dont throw them out, if anything save them for 10 or 20 more years, wait till the cards become worth more, if therein perfect condition or better yet untouched they will be worth a lot of money. Maybe pass them on to someone young that you love?|||wallpaper your walls with them?? J/K Look for a consignment store in your area, works almost the same way Ebay does, but they do the selling for you...|||you can see if your paper shreader can handle the job
