How do you erase permanent marker from a basketball?

My friend gave me a basketball of his that was autographed by his old team. It is a nice official NBA game ball so it's made of leather. Is there any way to get that permanent maker off of that ball?|||An autographed basketball signed by a NBA team? and you want to remove the autographs?

Why?

Go buy another one.|||nope|||I'm gonna go with Delta on this one and say............Nope! No can do!!! Just think of it as a ball with character!!|||try magic eraser.|||if rubbing alcohol and acetone dont work, try a light rub with lighter fluid....KEEP AWAY FROM FLAMES UNTIL THE SMELL GOES AWAY!!!|||Rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball.|||Permanent marker will usually come off with rubbing alcohol.|||You can give it a wipe with acetone -- that dissolves almost anything (but not leather). But, as somebody else asked, if you've got a keepsake why do you _want_ to erase it?|||Try nail polish remover (acetone) or rubbing alcohol. I find that nail polish remover will remove these kinds of stains from just about anything.|||Why do you wanna take it off? If you're gonna play with it it'll eventually come off.|||I think to get the mark is to use rubbing alochal|||Try the product called Goof Off. Probably in the glue section of the hardware store or drug store.|||rubbing alcohol or bleach might do the trick but would probably also discolour the leather itself. I don't thinkt her is a good way to clean it off that wont ruin the ball, i would leave it alone.
