How to clean old dingy white school basketball uniforms?

The school issued white basketball uniforms are SEVERAL years old. They are dingy grey. How can I get them white again or at least clean looking?|||couple suggestions. some of that problem is bound to be hard water. cascade dishwasher detergent often reacts with the mineral deposits left by hard water. you may also try borax. for yellowing there is Mrs. Stewart's Bluing -- basically a blue dye so don't use undiluted.|||What did you say?? Get them? Wow! Who get them in the first place?!
