What do you guys think of referees basketball referees?

Is it a respected Job i mean i has so much power in it the coaches and the players have to answer to them and they are so confident.





If you been to a basketball games and you see the referee what do you think?

Detailed answers are appreciated.|||There's good ones and bad ones. I've been to a few games where I almost wanted to ask for an admissions refund for the awful refs. (for both teams) It seems as though anyone can be a a ref today, some just aren't....good, at all.





They do deserve respect, but it should be earned through fairness.|||I know a guy who referees for school games. I have seen him referee. There were some things that I saw happen that the refs did not see. They try, but can't see everything.|||Most of them are simply not qualified. They are far too old, too short,and some don't seem really understand what the greatest athletes in the world are capable of. How can they call Dwight for goal tending Kobe when the action is up so high they can't see it. How do they call Monta for traveling when they are so far out of the play ? The point is that athletes should ref athletes.
