point guard
shooting guard
small forward
power forward
center|||There is pretty much no limit for players on a team, but 10-13 is average.
Only 5 players take the court.
G - Guard. There are Shooting Guards who mostly shoot, and Point Guards who balance shooting and distributing.
F - Forward. Small Forwards play like Guards, but are a bit too tall and attack the rim. Power Forwards are just a tad too short to be centers, huge and strong and always attack the rim.
C - Center. Centers live in the paint and attack the rim. They are supposed to be the biggest guys on the team.
The starting lineup for most teams consists of 2 Guards (one point guard, one shooting guard), 2 forwards (one small forward, one power forward), and a center.|||Umm...Depends on setup:
Normal offense:
Point-has ball at the top of the key
Wing-2 players on the arch
Low Post-two players out of the paint by the goal
High Post-Out of the paint at the corner of the free throw line
