What would be your strategy in playing 3 on 3 basketball in a tournament?

Me and two of my friends are entering in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. I am a spot up shooter and i like to distribute the basketball. My ball handling skills are alright. My strong point is 3 pointers. The tallest guy on our team is 6ft3 so we dont have alot of length, but the other two guys are very athletic and agressive. What can we do to play against teams with more length and size?|||set screens, its easier to get more people open than to get someone open with 5 players|||uh play like the gs warriors. take advantage of ur size and outrun them and tire them out.

If the other team doesn't have any dead accurate 3 point players, play a triangle zone so that you have the fastest and most probably smallest up front near the top of the key and then have the other 2 at the sides behind you. Make sure the zone sags appropriately towards the ball.

Assuming you are the ball handler, the best thing to do against oversized opponents is to penetrate towards the basket and if you can lay it up, obvoiusly do so however you're probably gonna go for an easy dish to oneof your teammates either right under the basket or out of the paint to shoot (if they are good at shooting). An alternative is to get the fastest guy on your team to penetrate and have you standing our at the 3 point line and have him just dish it out to you.

Another good strategy based on YOU is to have you up at top and have one guy at low post and another guy next to you in a 2 guard position. Assuming you have the ball, pass to the other guard and then cut around the baseline on the opposite side of the occupised low post and around past the man at low post so that they guy posting at the low post screens for you and enables you to take a wide open shot at the corner 3 point line.|||More often then not big men are not very coordinated. Because it's only 3 on 3 you have to use that to your advantage. Big men are very sloppy defenders on the perimiter so you have to draw them out and either hit shots or drive past them. When you are going for a layup be sure to generate space with your body to eliminate the longer player's shot blocking ability. The easy way to do this is to keep the player away from the ball using the shoulder of the opposite arm you use to dribble for example dribble with the right and keep your left shoulder as the guard|||Watch some of the AND one videos they have a lot of 3 on 3 tournaments. you can size up and strategize like the coaches do. Also there is a AND ONE basketball tournament coming up at San Bernardino Valley college on August 8, 2008 check out this website it has more info on it. http://www.conciergeproductions.com|||1. Pick and roll.

2.give and go's.

3. pass the ball a lot.

4. pass the ball down low if your player is a tall person.|||give the ball to your best ball handler and scorer. have him hog it while the other 2 just set a bunch of picks and rebound the ball for you|||Use the following things:

1) pick %26amp; roll

2) take it to the hole

3)triple threat

4) pump fake and drive|||shoot threes and let your big guys rebound, play point guard , ask for pick and rolls, crossover your way throught those mother f..ckaz lool!!! play hard|||i would try the triangle, or bring out the tall defenders and try to run past them and go in for the lay up|||one guy be PG

other guy be SF

last one be C|||set a lot of screens and beat them off the dribble...if ur teammate can drive and they double down on him then u should b open for the kick out so look for tht....defensive wise jus go man 2 man|||One word,

Elbows|||kick some serious ***
